Halloween

Halloween

Wow we really had a fantastic Halloween. The preparation for it was as much fun as the Halloween event itself; the home was decorated both inside and out with no end of ‘spooky’ items for everyone to enjoy. It certainly made for great conversation with all the visitors to the home around that time.

The residents hollowed out some pumpkins to have indoors; but for outside we made a family of pumpkin spiders. The ‘Daddy’ one was made with a very large pumpkin which had been kindly donated from a person who has an allotment in Rollesby. He took two of us to lift him into the car,  (as you can see it made a marvelous spider), along with his two babies sheltering beside him.

We also enjoyed a week long Halloween style menu, but the scariest items were left for Halloween tea!

There was pumpkin soup, pumpkin pie (home made) along with an assortment of gruesome goodies served in a very unusual way, just take a look at these photos to see for yourself.

Before tea we were treated to some special Halloween spooky fun when Elaine kindly came in with her two snakes. A large one called Slither, and a yet to be named baby one.

Everyone was able to admire them from near or far, what ever they preferred. Some were even ‘brave’ enough to wear it around their necks, as you will see!
