We were contacted by the Mayor of Great Yarmouth’s secretary to say that he would like to visit Ealing House to wish everyone a Happy Christmas on Friday 23rd December.
We duly took up his offer. On arrival his secretary, Laura said that they had allocated an hour for their visit. The Mayor, Councillor Malcolm Bird was accompanied by his wife. As they visited those residents who prefer to remain in their rooms handing out chocolates along the way; the Ealing House choir was being assembled in the dining room.
The mayor was then given a performance of Christmas songs which he along with other spectators thoroughly enjoyed.
He gave much time to making sure that we had all the photo evidence we needed for his visit, and really engaged with the residents.
What a memorable time we had.
