Today’s reminiscence was on Bonfire night and how we used to celebrate it. did we go to organised events or have bonfire’s in the back garden with family and friends?
What did we eat?
What did we wear? (We had some props for people to try on)
What fireworks did we enjoy?
As you can see it was great fun and made us all have a good chat about it all, whilst drinking hot chocolate, eating marshmallows, cinder toffee, popcorn etc etc.
We made a bonfire cake and fake fire and even had some sparklers!
We even went through the gunpowder plot to see if we could remember why Bonfire night came into being.
To finish the session we wrote down The Gunpowder Plot and then saw which other words we could make from using the letters.
