Once again we held a coffee morning in aid of MacMillan. It’s wonderful to be involved with such a worthy cause. This year we held ours slightly later than the national World’s Biggest Coffee Morning as we invited the Mayor Shirley Weymouth to join us and therefore chose a date suitable for both her and her consort, James.
However this didn’t deter us with the excitement of all the preparations. Special bunting was made to adorn the dining room, with Macmillan colours being carefully sourced.
The Mayor really enjoyed herself and was the first to dress up in an assortment of wigs and glasses which added a lot of light hearted FUN
Peter Biggs (a resident who came in for convalescence) returned to have coffee with every one. It was great to see him looking so well.
We are delighted to say that the event raised £144
