Christmas Day

Home/Uncategorized/Christmas Day

What a wonderful time we had. Thank you to everyone for making it so special.

There was great fun ‘present giving’ with Vince being Santa this year and The Girls on shift taking on the role of The elf, Rudolf  and Mother Christmas.

There was an organ recital in the ‘Middle Lounge’  before lunch giving the residents time to open their gifts. Thanks to Daphne’s’ son Colin and his wife Corine.

The table was set using the flower arrangements that the residents had made.  We had a special prank fr Graham who hates sprouts. We covered his place with sprout serviettes!!!

Lunch was superb. Thank you Mandy.

Following the traditional turkey dinner with all it’s trimming, dessert followed. This included the Christmas pudding from ‘Stir Up Sunday’ which was back in November. It was delicious. There was also a Cherry Brandy Trifle and Biscotti Cheesecake. YUM!

Colin turned from organist to barman as he ‘waited’ at the table!

That left time to relax and get ready for TEA!!!!
