Canada Day

With the home decorated up with Canadian artifacts;

We held a Canada Day celebration on 1st July. Unfortunately we couldn’t hold the BBQ which we’d first planned as the weather was not warm enough, but as ever the show MUST go on!! We would not be defeated. So we went ahead with the BBQ theme for the food and enjoyed ribs, chicken and hot dogs, served with creamed corn. Followed by strawberries, melon, meringues and ice cream! (and miniature pecan pies!).

For tea there was a selection of Canadian favourites; salmon sandwiches, pancakes with maple syrup, chocolate brownies, muffins, cinnamon cake.
