Burn’s Day

Home/Uncategorized/Burn’s Day

As ever we had a lovely time celebrating the poet Robert Burns.

During the morning we played bingo with shortbread for prize.

Then for lunch we toasted the haggis with thanks to Alan for saying the Selkirk Grace for us, followed by a wee dram of whiskey.

The traditional meal of haggis, mash and neaps followed by cranachan was served, and was enjoyed by all.

There was a Scottish themed quiz following lunch. It was so lovely to hear people conferring and coming out with their answers,  Elaine was the worthy winner. Well done.
