There was actually an afternoon tea week. We felt that this may be a little over the top, so we decided to host a tea party at the beginning and then another at the end of the week. Needless to say both tea parties were really lovely thanks to Lorraine’s hard work in the kitchen.
To make if even more special there was a reminiscence session held just before. The first being on teatime foods and cookery recipes, this included ‘mum’s recipes that were used through out your lifetime, past down to each generation. The second on tea dances in the 1940’s what was worn and the cost of getting ready for such an occasion.
