A night at the dogs

Home/Uncategorized/A night at the dogs

As we all know at Ealing House Graham is rather partial to a little flutter! So we coincided his birthday with a Race Night. This time it was grey hound races.

Brain and Elaine were our compares for the evening, what FUN we all had.

The room was split into four teams and given £1000 spending money! (No expenses spared at Ealing House!! Before you get too excited it was monopoly money!

Graham had also suggested that we made bunting by using packets of crisps, then if anyone wanted a ‘nibble’ whilst racing they could choose some to their liking! What a great idea. So these were put up around the room.

I can tell you, it was NOT a quiet evening!!! There was much shouting and hilarity as the races took place and the rivalry began between the tables.

There was a break for some cheese and biscuits, and needless to say a replenishment of drinks!

The Birthday boy was the lucky winner for the evening with his table winning £13000!! and taking home a grand prize of…………………..some chocolates!! Remember its the taking part that counts, NOT the money LOL.
