We all love an otter, and we were delighted to spend the day looking and reading about otter facts along with cuddling our lovely cuddly toy one! The only person not so sure about the otter was poor Treacle (the cat), who couldn't decide if it was going to come alive,and steal her treats!!
We celebrated the wonderful work that our bees do for us with a week of bee activities. This then led to the wonderful display and Tea Party. We enjoyed locally made fresh bread with a selection of local honey. Served with honey tea! Green tea with honey, and Manuka honey Cranberry and ginger tea. It was all very enjoyable indeed.
We like to celebrate all cultural events and we always enjoy the festival of Eid al Fitr which marks the end of the fasting for Ramadan. It coincides with the day after the sighting of the crescent moon, indicating the arrival of the new moon, and kick starting the month of Shawwal where everybody 'feasts' and celebrates.
