ACTIVITIES

Ealing House has for many years been highly involved in promoting social activities for the service users. The aim is to encourage physical and mental stimulation and well being.

Ealing House has a wide range of daily activities to suit all the tastes and abilities of the service users.

We are flexible and open to new ideas for entertainment and activity to suit individual requirements.

Day Trips

We like to organise trips out to places including Wroxham Barns and a trip down the river on the Mississippi River Boat.

Games

We have various board games and large format floor games to be played on the floor.

Quizzes

We have various word games, general knowledge and picture quizzes. Bingo is played twice weekly in the dining room which has become very popular. It is regularly 'called' by our volunteer Elaine.

Gardening

Ealing House has a enclosed and secure garden, allowing service users to safely stroll in the garden. It is level and paved to allow access for service users of all mobility abilities.

We have a water feature which is relaxing and the garden has a very sunny aspect at a variety of times during the day.

We have raised flower beds for
the 'green-fingered' service user.

Singing & Entertainment

There are large format song books and musical instruments for a sing along. Various videos and a Karaoke machine for those that enjoy their singing. We also have various visiting musicians and performers to entertain.

Exercise

We have various activities that encourage movement and exercise such as Parachute game, cycle pedals and “Seated Exercise” provided by Extend.

Reminiscence

We have a reminiscence area stocked with items of interest and a member of staff with a special interest in this. She is currently undertaking a training course.
